Territory Sales Manager – Belting & Components
Locations: Nashville, TN | Lebanon, TN | Dickson, TN | Franklin, TN | Clarksville, TN
Territory: Tennessee – west of US Highway 231
Reports To: Branch Manager
Role Type: Outside Sales / Territory Management
Position Overview
We are seeking a Territory Sales Manager – Belting & Components to manage and grow an established territory in West Tennessee. This role focuses on selling conveyor belting and conveyor components to customers in mining, aggregates, and heavy industrial environments.
This is a solution-based sales role, not transactional order taking. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable in industrial environments, and capable of identifying problems in the field and delivering practical, cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow sales within an assigned Tennessee territory (west of US Hwy 231)
- Develop strong relationships with plant managers, maintenance supervisors, and operations teams
- Sell conveyor belting and components including:
- Idlers and rollers
- Bearings and bearing assemblies
- Drive packages and gear reducers
- Impact beds and load zone solutions
- Belt cleaners and scrapers
- Pulley assemblies and related components
- Identify equipment and process issues and recommend appropriate solutions
- Conduct site visits, walk conveyors, and assist customers with troubleshooting
- Generate quotes, follow up on opportunities, and close business
- Coordinate with internal operations, service, and purchasing teams
- Maintain accurate pipeline activity and territory planning
- Grow market share while protecting margin and long-term customer relationships
Qualifications & Experience
- Prior mining, aggregates, or heavy industrial experience strongly preferred
- Experience selling or working with conveyor belting and components highly desirable
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Comfortable working in industrial environments and at customer sites
- Proven ability to manage a territory and work independently
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills
- Willingness to travel within territory as required
